In an attempt to soak up the last days of summer, over Labor Day weekend we traveled to Canfield, Ohio for their annual county fair. This fair is always a great time. I swear every year we eat our way through the fair! From the hot sausage sandwiches to the funnel cakes and elephant ears it makes my mouth water just thinking about it! All of the food stands are so fun and unique. I love seeing all of the mixes of typography. There is just something so All-American about them.
Here are some of my favorites:
Feeling inspired to make your own signage? Here is a collection of some great “county fair” fonts that you can download and use. And the best part is that they are all free! So go for it and get designing!

Sawyer observed most of the fair festivities from his jogging stroller, but he did love stretching his legs among the John Deere tractors. Check out the size of those tires!
And of course no county fair is complete without a visit to see the prize winning pigs and pumpkins. The winning pumpkin this year tipped the scales at 903 pounds! I really have no idea how a pumpkin can grow that large.
Have a great weekend!
